The SEO Content Manager is a member of our digital marketing team. This position is responsible for the planning, oversight, and production of written content across various client websites.

The SEO Content Manager should be comfortable researching and writing for various industries and must have a solid grasp of Search Engine Optimization. This role works closely with our Digital Content Specialist, driving the development and implementation of SEO-driven content strategies. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing, editing, analytical, and leadership skills. 


  • Develop, contribute to, and oversee overarching content strategies for website optimization
  • Conduct  keyword research and analysis
  • Research and identify blog topics and content opportunities for organic growth
  • Create and maintain annual, quarterly, and monthly content and editorial calendars
  • Research and write various forms of marketing content
  • Draft briefs to inform the goal, keywords, topic, and key points of pieces of content for production
  • Edit/QA content drafted by other team members
  • Publish blog content using SEO best practices
  • Perform on-page content optimizations that ensure proper search engine indexation.
  • Use analytics to track growth and identify opportunities 
  • Create qualitative reporting based largely on quantitative data
  • Stay up-to-date on current industry standards, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies

Experience + Skills

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience producing SEO-driven content in a professional environment
  • Proven ability to write and edit written content on various topics
  • Proven ability to use data to formulate actionable insights
  • Comfortable leveraging ChatGPT/Generative AI as a tool for creating high-quality content
  • Comfortable navigating Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Familiarity with WordPress
  • Prior experience with Ahrefs, SEMRush, or similar tools preferred
  • Structured thinking and strong organizational skills
